Kori Trek

The Kori Trek is considered moderate in difficulty. While the daily trekking hours range from 5-7 hours, the trails involve some steep ascents, descents, and flat forest paths. It’s suitable for trekkers with a reasonable fitness level, even if you’re new to trekking.

No prior trekking experience is necessary, but some physical preparation, such as hiking, walking, or cardio training, is recommended to ensure you enjoy the journey.

The highest point of the trek is Kori at 3,800m. While the altitude isn’t extremely high, altitude sickness can occur. To minimize the risk, we follow a gradual ascent, stay hydrated, and ensure proper rest.

The best times are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). During these seasons, the weather is clear, offering stunning views of the mountains, and the trails are more comfortable to trek. This trek can be done at any time of the year.

Accommodations are basic tea houses or lodges along the trail. They provide simple rooms with shared bathrooms. In Sikles and Pokhara, accommodations are more comfortable with better amenities.

You’ll need trekking essentials, including layers for varying temperatures, sturdy boots, a sleeping bag, trekking poles, and personal items like toiletries, sunscreen, and a water bottle. A detailed packing list will be provided to ensure you’re well-prepared.

The trek begins in Sikles, which is about a 12-hour drive from Kathmandu. We arrange private or shared transport to get you there comfortably. We also offer the option to begin the trek directly from Pokhara.
